Friday Night Games To Watch in North Carolina

Davie (6-1) vs West Forsyth (5-1)

West Forsyth hits the road to take on Davie, as both teams come in undefeated in conference play and with only one loss overall.  Senior Chris Reynolds leads the way passing for Davie, averaging 197 yards throwing, while the War Eagles use two running backs in the backfield. West Forsyth comes in with a defense that has only allowed 56 total points on the season.

Newton-Conover (4-2) vs West Lincoln (4-2)

Newton-Conover started the season off 4-0 but now are 0-2 in the Southern District, while West Lincoln comes in 1-1 in conference play as well.  Each team needs a win and is hungry, so they can get to 5-2 overall and remain alive in conference play.  Newton-Conover has been averaging 40 points per game, but only 20 in conference play.

Watauga (4-2) vs Freedom (4-2)

In a packed Northwestern conference, these two teams come in undefeated, along with two other teams in Hibriten and Patton.  One will come away in this matchup in what could be an offensive kind of game and get a leg up in the conference.

Southwest Guilford (6-0) vs Glenn (4-2)

Solid battle between Southwest Guilford, a team that comes in undefeated and solid on both ends of the football, as they take on Glenn that is led by junior Stephon Brown Jr at quarterback.  Brown has been averaging 222 yards per game and 18 touchdowns and looks to go up against a defense that hasn't allowed an opponent to score over 13 points this season.  Last year, the Cowboys lost to Glenn 38-28.

Crest (5-1) vs Kings Mountain (4-3)

In a tough South Mountain Athletic conference, Crest looks to remain undefeated in conference play, while Kings Mountain looks to stay above .500.  Kings Mountain's offense will have to click against a tough Crest defense, as in their three losses, they have averaged only nine points.  But in their four wins, they have scored more than 35 points.  Crest is led by their defense and has a ton of talent on that side of the ball.
