Carolina Gridiron has learned that Shelby has named former Golden Lion player and defensive coordinator Lance Ware as their new head coach.Coach Ware has worked as the defensive coordinator at Shelby for the past six years helping to lead the Golden Lions to two 2AA state championships in 2005 and 2006.
Shelby opens up the 2011 season against A. L. Brown.
